Laser engraving can be turned around in just days, and most screen printing projects take about two weeks. HOW CAN I WORK WITH JOYCOAST?
HOW MANY ATTENDEES CAN YOU HANDLE? WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF ATTENDEE GIFTS?
The minimum for an on-site gifting experience is 50 gifts purchased. Even if your group is smaller than that, we can still make it happen and you will have extra gifts on hand. From there, we scale up comfortably to 1,000+ guests, including large-scale and multi-day events. Our sweet spot is about 100 guests per team member, and we add staff as your group grows to keep the experience smooth and personal for everyone.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED TO BRING JOYCOAST TO MY EVENT?
Pricing is based on a per-person rate determined by the product tier you choose for your event. In addition to the cost per gift, we bill separately for travel, logistics, and staffing (very reasonably). In most cases, we also ask for hotel lodging for our on-site team. Certain destinations we have local reps available and accommodations may not be needed. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your event.
WHAT ARE THE PRICING TIERS FOR SUNGLASSES?
We offer three sunglasses tiers: OG package at $99 per person, Mid-Tier at $125 per person, and Premium at $153 per person. All tiers include polarized UV400 lenses, spring hinges, and a branded cork folding case with your logo. The tiers differ by frame construction, materials, and the number of styles available. The Premium tier features fully wooden and abalone seashell frames with up to 18 styles to choose from.
CAN ATTENDEES CHOOSE BETWEEN DIFFERENT PRODUCTS?
Absolutely. Choice-based experiences are one of our most popular setups. You set a per-person budget, and guests choose between sunglasses, watches, wallets, Apple Watch bands, or rings. This drives much higher satisfaction because everyone picks something they actually want and will use. We manage the inventory mix to make sure it balances out within your budget.
WHAT TYPES OF PRODUCTS CAN JOYCOAST BRING ON-SITE?
We can bring a curated selection or the full range. Our core product categories include wooden sunglasses, wooden watches, wooden rings, Apple Watch bands, wooden wallets, and bamboo wireless power banks. We can also bring eco-friendly accessories like bamboo beanies, vegan leather duffel bags, tumblers, tote bags, and sustainable beach towels. You can focus on one product category or mix and match to create a full shopping experience.
HOW DOES THE ON-SITE FITTING EXPERIENCE WORK?
Our team sets up a branded gifting station at your event with product displays, mirrors, and signage. Attendees browse the collection, try things on, and choose the gift they love right on the spot. For most domestic events, we bring all the products on-site and guests walk away with their gift in hand. Our staff is there to help with fittings, answer questions, and resize watches on the spot. Most guests spend about 3 to 4 minutes at the station, and we can scale our team and setup to handle your number of attendees within your exact desired time frame. We always bring extra inventory to make sure every attendee gets their favorite style.
DOES JOYCOAST OFFER LOGO CUSTOMIZATION?
Yes, and all customization is done in-house by our team in Chicago. We typically brand the cork folding case for sunglasses, which your guests will see and use every day. We can also add your logo to bamboo watch boxes, lens cloths, and packaging inserts. For orders of 100+ of a single sunglass style, we can add a logo to the temple (side) of the frames. Laser engraving can be turned around in days. Screen printing and larger branding projects typically take 2 to 6 weeks, though we are pushing toward 2-week turnaround as more production moves fully in-house.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?
Four to six weeks is ideal for fully branded programs. For quick-turn events, we can work with as little as two weeks by focusing on laser engraving and smaller branding elements. If you are in a time crunch, contact us and we will find a way to make it work.
DO YOU TRAVEL INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes. We travel worldwide and have partners all over the globe. We have done events in Mexico, the Caribbean, and many other destinations, and we are set up to bring our gifting experience just about anywhere. For international events, we offer several flexible options. We can bring the full product assortment on-site so attendees choose in person and receive their gift on the spot. We can also set up a pre-trip mailer through our branded landing page, where attendees select their gift in advance and we ship directly to their homes or to the event planner to bring the pre-selected items. Another popular option is an on-site try-on with a post-event mailer, where attendees choose at the event and we ship from Chicago afterward. We can also kit any of our shipments with a custom message, additional items, or event branding. We are very flexible and will work with you to find the best approach for your event and destination.
WHAT ABOUT VIRTUAL OR REMOTE GIFTING?
We offer a virtual gifting platform with a branded landing page where recipients choose their gift and we ship directly to their homes. We also have our Joycard program, a premium wooden gift card with a QR code that recipients use to redeem their gift online. Three tiers are available: Explorer ($99), Adventure ($153), and Trailblazer ($199). All virtual options include free shipping and 10 trees planted per gift. For groups of 50 or more, we include a complimentary custom-branded landing page.
